Possible Risks and Complications of NJ Realize Band Surgery
As with all major surgery, there are risks and complications associated with Realize Band Surgery in New Jersey

Slippage of the band can occur with persistent vomiting if behavioral changes are not made.
The band may erode into the inside of the stomach.
The band can spontaneously deflate due to leakage.
The stomach pouch can enlarge.

Gastroesophageal reflux or GERD, when stomach contents rise up into the esophagus (the tube that carries food from the mouth to the stomach).
